Thanksgiving Sweet Potato Casserole


3 cups cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
2 eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla


1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup pecans, chopped 

  1. Preheat oven to 350◦
  2. Combine the sweet potatoes, butter and sugar. 
  3. Add eggs. beat well.
  4. Add milk and vanilla.
  5. Pour into a greased casserole dish.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine all the topping ingredients except for the butter. Mix well.
  7. Pour the topping over the sweet potatoes.
  8. Melt the butter and drizzled evenly over the topping.
  9. Bake fo 45 minutes.
I haven't tried this particular  recipe yet, my original recipe called for a lot more butter and sugar, I always felt it was to sweet and had more butter than it needed to. I don't want to alter the taste any, but I feel this will taste better.
