1 cup butter
1-1/2 cup granulated sugar + additioanl to roll cookie dough in
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda (added by me)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-3/4 cups of Hershey's mini kisses
- Combine flour, baking soda, cocoa, and salt. Mix and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl beat the butter and 1-1/2 cup sugar until well blended.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- Graudually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Mix well.
- Refrigerate the dough for about an hour.or until the dough is firm enough to handle.
- Preheat oven to 350 ◦
- Roll dough into 1" balls and roll into the additional granulated sugar.
- Place onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Place 3 mini kisses on top of each cookie, pressing down lightly
- Remove from cookie sheet and place on awire rack to cool.
Makes about 4 dozen.
* The original recipe does not call for baking soda, maybe it doesn't need it. I haven't made these yet.
