Fat Free Whipped Topping

1 cup fat free evaporated milk
1/4 to 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract (or preferred flavoring)

  • Pour evaporated milk into a mixer bowl. 
  • Cover and chill in the freezer along with the beaters for about half an hour. 
  • Remove and beat evaporated milk on high until frothy, about 1-2 minutes. 
  • Slowly add sugar, lemon juice, and flavoring, beating until the mixture becomes stiff (about 2-3 minutes). 
  • Serve immediately. Makes a big bowl of whipped topping --about four cups.
