Coupons; Think of Them As Currency!

I've used coupons all my life, but I am recently in the process of re-learning how to make them really pay off. I haven't seen a big drop in my monthly spending of groceries as of yet, but  I am definitely getting many more items for the same amount of money. I've learned a few things that I feel may be worth sharing. I wasn't aware of some of these savings so I thought that perhaps others may not be aware of these great opportunities either.

For instance, I needed to purchase some ink for my printers. In the past, I had purchased them on-line via Staples. I had a coupon from a previous trip to the store that gave me a $20.00 saving. That's a good savings. Can't beat that. Or so I thought. But this time, I didn't have a coupon available to me. I had read in a book about going to a coupon code website. I decided to give Retailmenot a try. This was my first visit. So I typed in Staples and it gave me a code to use. I used that code and it saved me over $28.00! The offer was for saving 20% of any ink or toner purchase from Staples. Just thought I'd pass that along. It saved me a good deal of money. Perhaps you can find a deal that works for you.
