Apple Crisp With Caramel

1/2 cup caramel topping + additional for serving
1/2 ground cinnamon
6  cups apples, peeled and cut into bite-size piece or slices
2/3 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into small piece
2/3 cup quick-cooking oats
Whipped cream (for garnish)

  1. Preheat oven to 375◦
  2. In a large bowl, combine the apples and cinnamon., stir well.
  3. Add apples and toss until even coated Set aside.
  4. Place in an ungreased 8" glass baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl combine the flour and brown sugar. 
  6. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter. The mixture will resemble coarse crumbs. 
  7. Fold in oats. Mix well.
  8. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until apples are tender and toping is a pretty golden brown.
  10. Serve with a bit of caramel topping and whipped cream.
