Cake
1 cup butter
1 cup water
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
- Preheat oven to 350°
- In a saucepan, combine butter, cocoa, water, eggs & buttermilk; stirring constantly over low heat until mixture bubbles.
- Remove from heat.
- Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool completely
1-1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
1-1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
- Spread over cake.
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup cocoa
6 tablespoons buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 lb of powdered sugar
- Pour powdered sugar in a bowl. Set aside.
- In a saucepan combine; butter, cocoa, & buttermilk., mix well and when it starts to bubble, remove from heat and pour over powdered sugar.
- Beat until smooth.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Pour evenly over cake.
