5 large Russet potatoes or Yukon Gold
1/4 cup butter
1 garlic clove, crushed
3/4 cup warmed milk or half & half
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- Peel potatoes and cook until tender. Drain.
- Mash.
- Add remaining ingredients and beat to desired consistency.
