What Do Goats Eat?

Everything in their path! At least that is what I hear!

I don't have any goats myself, but I would like to get some. Therefore, I have been researching and reading as much as I can about them.

Of coarse, there are going to be things you don't want them to eat. Normally, you fence them off from areas where you do not them. (garden) But as we know, they are little Houdini's and will at one point make their escape. (I have neighbors with goats, so I know it's a matter of when they escape, not if they escape)

I ran across this article that said they "painted" their trees with a mixture of powdered lime and water. This was painted on only as high as the goats could reach. The author said this worked great and only needed a touch-up every few months and that it had no ill effect on the tree. The goats don't like the taste.
