Meatballs | American Style

3 eggs
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3 tbs olive oil
1 tsp oregano
2 tsp dried basil
2 lbs lean ground beef
3 cloves or minced garlic
Tomato based pasta sauce
1 fine chopped large onion
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
5 slices of day-old bread, crumbled
1/2 cup fresh or dried chopped parsley
  1. Cook the sauce for about 25 minutes. Keep hot.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine all ingredients except the pasta sauce.
  3. Form into meatballs.
  4. Put the meatballs into the sauce.
  5. Cook for another 25-30 minutes.
* Great to serve along with spaghetti
