Treating Schizophrenia Without Medication

This documentary, "Take these Broken Wings" shows it is possible for people to recover from schizophrenia without the use of anti-psychotic medications.
Our modern society, paticularly the media, pharmaceutical companies and most of the mental health-care professional would like you to believe that you can't be cured unless you take medications.
The film below tells the story of two woman who recovered from szhizophrenia. It discusses the roots of their disease, including childhood trauma and then their treatment with gifted clinicians.

Joane Geenberg, has been fully recovered from schizophrenia for more than 50 years. She is also the bestselling author of, "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden."

Catherine Penney is a mental health nurse from California who has been recovered from schizoprenia for more than 30 years. Her story is chronicled by Daniel Dorman, MD her therapist. The name of his book is Dante's Cure: A Journey Out of Madness.

This is of interest to me because my mother lived with this disease for 30+ years, was treated witha varity of anti-psychotics and had been institutionalized during her life time. Now another family member has very recently been diagnosed with this and I like to see what options are available to them other then these mind altering drugs. I've been doing some very extensive  research on this disease because my mother took these medications and the voices never ceased. In addition, she ended up with tardive dyskinesia and it doesn't go away.
