How To Make A Homemade Air Conditioner

Here in WV we've had a bit of a heat wave here for the past few days. It was 96° in the shade! If it's hotter where you live, I feel for you.

I ran across the above video on Youtube. I think this is perfect for cooling off any small room in your house. Great for campers or tents if you're camping. He offers you a step-step tutorial on how to make this.

Ways To Power It

* Electric
* Hook it to a 15 watt (1 amp)  solar panel, for those living off-grid
* Battery - Another option for those living off the grid air
* Your automobile - Use a 12 V socket cigarette plug.

Supplies You Need

* Cooler/Ice chest
* Small Fan
* PVC Elbow
* Drill / Saw for cutting out holes

Temperature

Video showed 42°F. The temperature in the room was 80°F

Ice

The ice would last between 5-10 hours depending on the size of the ice block (80° was the room temperature)

Freeze the ice in gallon size jugs, milk jugs, dishpans, pails what every you can find. Just make sure the cooler you get can accommodate it.
