Snicker Doodle Sandwiches

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
2-3/4 cup flour
Coarse decorating sugar (color of your choice) in a small bowl

6 oz cream cheese
1 cup marshmallow cream (fluff)

Preheat oven to 400
In a mixing bowl, beat the butter, shortening, sugars, eggs, cream of tartar, cinnamon, baking soda and vanilla until creamy
Add flour. Mix well.
Using a tbsp, shape dough into 48 equal size balls.
Dip the top of each ball into the coarse colored sugar.
Place the sugar-side up on a ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.

Beat the filling ingredients until light and flufffy.
Spread 1 tbs of filling onto the bottom of cookie; press another cookie on top

Servings: 24
