Cowboy Soup


I got this recipe from my friend Amy. It has become a family favorite.
Ingredients
  • 1 lb of boneless beef sirloin steak (1" thick) or 1 lb ground beef, cooked
  • 1 tsp dried basil leaves
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tbs oil
  • Two 14.5 oz cans of beef broth
  • 1 16 oz can chunky-style salsa
  • 1 lb of assorted vegetables of your choice
  • 15 oz can of white beans
  • 1 cup torn fresh spinach
  • 5 cups chopped cabbage
Instructions
  1. Put in a pot and simmer until done.
