Swedish Meatballs


2 lbs ground beef
1 envelope of beef onion dry soup mix
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tbs flour
14 oz can beef broth
1-1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup sour cream
8 oz pkg egg noodles

  1. Combine the beef, dry soup mix, egg and chopped onions,
  2. Make 1" meatballs, set on a wax-paper lined sheet.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet. Add meatballs and cook until browned and thoroughly cooked, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Put the cooked meatballs in a paper-towel lined bowl.
  5. Add flour to skillet and cook for a few minutes, scraping up and the browned bits.
  6. Stir in broth and milk.
  7. Return meatballs to skillet. Stir until the liquid has thickened the meatballs are coated.
  8. Remove from heat and add sour cream.
  9. Cook noodles according to package directions.
  10. To serve, pour meatballs and sauce over the hot noodles.
