Makes 12 serving 3/4 cup (1-1/2 cup cooked)
6 cups old-fashioned oats
3/4 cup flaxseed, ground (I grind mine in my coffee grinder)
3 tbs cinnamon
1-1/2 cup walnuts
1-1/2 cup cranberries
Combine all of the above ingredients. Store in the refrigerator because the flax seed and nuts go rancid quickly.
When ready to prepare:
Place 3/4 cup of the oatmeal mixture in a bowl.
Bring 3/4 cup of water to a boil and pour over the oatmeal. Stir and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
