Mexican Coffee




3/4 cup dark roast coffee
2 tsp ground cinnamon
6 cups water
1 cup milk
1/3 cup chocolate syrup
2 tbs light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Garnish: whipped cream and cinnamon


  1. Place coffee and cinnamon in the filter basket of coffee maker.
  2. Add water to coffee maker.
  3. Brew coffee.
  4. While the coffee is brewing, place the milk, syrup and sugar in a saucepan.
  5. Stir over low heat until the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Add to hot coffee. Serve immediately.
  7. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
