Barbecued Beef Sandwiches


15 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 16 oz can tomato sauce
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup vinegar
2/3 cup ketchup
1 5-6 lb beef roast
12 hamburger buns

Preheat oven to 375◦
In a saucepan combine the the tomatoes,tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar and ketchup.
Bring to boil, reduce heat and allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
Brush the roast with 1/2 cup of the saucepan mixture.
Place roast in a cooking bag.
Bake for 3 hours.
When cool enough to handle, shred the meat by using a fork or your hands.
Stir in remaining sauce.
Serve on buns.
