Fudgy Almond Bars

Ingredients
  • ¾ cup + ⅓ cup butter
  • ¾ cup xxx sugar
  • 1-1/2 cup flour
  • ½ Hershey's cocoaa
  • 14 oz can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1-1/4 cup almonds, toast and coarsely chopped
  • ½ cup hot water
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In a mixing bowl beat ¾ cup butter, and sugar until creamy.
  3. Add flour. Mix well.
  4. Press into the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 13 pan.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Ina saucepaan, melt ⅓ cup butter, stir in cocoa.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining ingredients.
  8. Pour over the crust.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Cool. Chill throughly.
  11. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
