1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1-1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar + additional
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 large egg
4 dozen pecan halfs
4 dozen Kraft caramels, cut into quarters
- Preheat oven to 350 ◦
- Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl combine the butter, and both sugars, Beat until fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla. Beat again.
- Slowly add the flour mixture.
- Roll the dough into 1" balls and place a pecan half on top.
- Place the cookie dough, pecan side down, on a greased cookie sheet.
- Wet the bottom of a glass with water then dip in the additional sugar, press down on cookie.
- Place 4 quarters size pieces on each cookie.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
