3/4 cup n cold butter, cut into cubes
45 Club Crackers (I like Keebler)
14 oz can of sweetened condensed mild
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
6 oz pkg of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Line a 8 or 9 inch square glass baking pan with foil, that drapes over the edge.
- Grease the foil with butter.
- Arrange a single layer of crackers in the pan. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, corn syrup, butter and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, while stirring constantly.
- Reduce the heat to a low boil, and continue to stir for an additional 7 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Spread one third of this over the crackers.
- Repeat the cracker and caramel mixture twice.
- While still hot, sprinkle the chocolate chips over the caramel.
- Allow to sit for 4-5 minutes and spread evenly over caramel.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Lift out of pan and cut into pieces.
