Simple Shepherd Pie

1 lb ground beef
2 T. veg. oil
2 T. flour 
1 beef bouillon cube dissolved in 1 cup boiling water
1/2 c. green bell pepper, finely diced
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 c. celery, finely chopped
1/2 t. black pepper
3 cups leftover mashed potatoes
1 jar of beef flavored gravy
1 unbaked 9" pie crust

  • Brown the ground beef, onion, celery, and bell pepper in a skillet in the vegetable oil and cook until beef is done and no longer pink.
  • Stir in the water,bouillion and flour. Stir well. Cook until thickened.
  • Put the meat mixture in the pie crust.
  • Spread the mashed potatoes over the meat mixture.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Serve with gravy.
