We’ve all heard the expression, “First impressions Count”. The best kind of first impression is a personal one. With a bit of thought, you can have a home that makes your family and house-guest instantly feel right-at-home. Make sure whatever you choose to do is a reflection of your taste. You may ask yourself, “Where do I start?” The best place to start is at the curb. We’ve heard Realtor’s talk about homes with curb appeal sell better. This can be done by adding a whimsical mailbox, decorative flags, perhaps by planting a few flowers, keep the lawn cut, weeds pulled etc… The next reasonable place to consider would be the door where your guest enters your home. A pretty wreath and a nice welcoming mat says “Hello” to all who visit. All it takes is a bit of planning and some creativity to make this happen. The next time you’re out & about; look at other people’s homes and make mental or written notes of what appeals to you and then put your thoughts into action.
