Lamb Stew




1 lb ground lamb
1 large onion, chopped
3 cups water
1-16 oz jar of salsa (mild or medium)
1/3 cup ketchup
2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic salt
15 oz can of red kidney beans, drained
1 can corn, drained
2-1/2 cup small pasta shells, uncooked
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Green onion, finely chopped for garnish
  • Brown meat and onion in a pan.
  • Add water, salsa, ketchup, chili powder, garlic salt, beans & corn.
  • Heat to boiling.
  • Add uncooked pasta.
  • Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes or until pasta is done and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  • To serve, sprinkle with cheddar cheese and green onion.
