1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup butter
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
6 oz bag of semisweet chocolate chips
  • Preheat oven to 350 °
  • Line a 9″ square baking pan with foil; making sure it is draped over.
  • Lightly grease the foil.
  • Arrange a single layer of crackers in the pan.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine: milk, sugar, syrup and butter.
  • Bring to a boil. Stir occasionally.
  • Reduce the heat to a low boil; stirring constantly for 7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Spread 1/3 of the caramel mixture over the crackers.
  • Add another layer of crackers.
  • Pour another 1/3 of caramel over those crackers. Repeat.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate chips over caramel immediately.
  • Let stand about 5 minutes or until glossy.
  • Spread evenly over the top.
