Blend together:
3 cups flour
1-1/2 cup shortening
1/2 teaspoon salt
- Set aside the above mixture.
- Grab yourself a 2/3 cup measuring cup.
- Crack an egg in it. Beat well.
- Add to that 1 teaspoon vinegar.
- Fill the remainder of cup with cold water.
- Pour this into the dry ingredients.
- Work until easy to roll.
Recipe # 2
2-2/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup crisco
6 tablespoons cold water.
- Combine flour and salt.
- Cut the Crisco into the flour using a pastry blender.
- Add water and stir with a fork. (add more water if needed.)
