Pecan Sandies

2 cups butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar + additional for dusting
2 tablespoons water
4 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups flour
2 cups chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 300°
  • Preheat oven to 300° 
  • Combine butter and sugar. Mix well
  • Add water and vanilla.     
  • Add flour.
  • Fold in pecans.
  • Roll into 1" balls.
  • Place on an ungreased baking sheet and flatten with a spoon.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • When cool, dust with powdered sugar.
