Stuffed French Toast

4 oz cream cheese
1/3 cup of jam (flavor of your choice)
2 slices of bread (I prefer Texas toast)
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup of milk or half and half.

Cream cheese and jam. Set aside.

In a shallow dish, whisk:
eggs, vanilla and milk or half & half.

Spread cheese/jam mixture equally on 3 pieces of bread, the cover with remaining slices of bread (like a sandwich)

Dip in milk/egg mixture.

Add a small amount of butter to a heated skillet and fry until golden brown on both sides.

Drizzle with a generous amount of maple syrup when serving.
