Southern Fried Salmon Cakes



2-15 oz cans salmon (about 3 cups)
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1-1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
2 teaspoons parsley
1/4 cup flour
1 beaten egg
2 tablespoons water
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 tablespoon butter (for fry pan)

  1. Combine: Salmon, salt, mustard, pepper, egg yolk, Worcestershire, mayonnaise and parsley.
  2. Make 6-8 patties.
  3. Chill for 15-20 minutes
  4. Mix egg and water together. Set aside.
  5. Place bread crumbs into a bowl by itself.
  6. Place flour in a separate bowl. Dip patties into flour.
  7. Dip patties into egg/water.
  8. Dip patties into crumbs.
  9. Melt butter in skillet.
  10. Saute over med. heat until golden.
