Pecan Sandies





2 cups butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar + additional for dusting
2 tablespoons water
4 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups flour
2 cups chopped pecans
  • Preheat oven to 300°
  • Combine: Butter & sugar; beat well
  • Add water and vanilla; mix well.
  • Gradually add the flour a little bit at a time.
  • Fold in pecans.
  • Roll into 1-inch balls.
  • Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and flatter with a spoon.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • When cool dust with powdered sugar.
