Green Beans



This is today's harvest (6/24/12)
 I made 5-1/2 pints of pickled beets and 2 pints of green beans.

This recipe came out of a Kerr cookbook

Beans--Green, Wax

Raw pack
Pack into Kerr jars to within 1/2 inch of top of jar. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt to each pint. Fill to withn 1/2 inch of top of jar with boiling water. Put on cap, screw, band firmly tight.

* I don't like to use a pressure cooking when canning. I just water-bathed this for 3 hours. You can cut time dramatically if you use a pressure cooker.
